Description
This online Neuropathology Program (NP) uses digital imaging technology and features a minisymposium followed by eight educational cases. It includes the clinical history, tissue site, and applicable static and whole slide images; followed by assessment questions and further diagnostic information. Printable PDFs of the cases and images are available.

Objectives
After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Recognize clinical and neuroimaging characteristics that facilitate clinicopathologic correlation of neoplastic and nonneoplastic lesions of the nervous system, including muscle and nerve.
  2. Discuss gross, cytologic, and histologic features that help define a preliminary differential diagnosis.
  3. Identify ancillary tests including but not limited to, special stains, immunohistochemistry, and molecular testing, that help to confirm diagnosis and predict prognosis or influence therapeutic interventions.
