Description
Nonconformity means that things did not go as intended (eg, error, mistake, lapse, accident). Find out what to do when you discover a nonconformity in the laboratory, how to investigate it, and how to assess risks associated with it.

This clinical pathology activity is intended for pathologists.

After completing this activity, you should be able to:

  1. Standardize your reaction to a nonconformity.
  2. Evaluate the need for corrective action.
  3. Describe how to determine the cause of a nonconformity using the five why method.
  4. Formalize your approach to assessing the risk of a nonconformity.
